MAP score and 2D Shear Wave ultrasound as adherent perinephric fat (APF) preoperative predictors in robot-assisted partial nephrectomy

Preoperative APF assessment in RAPN candidate patients is useful for a prediction of operative times. The multivariable model including gender, BMI, MAP score and the mean value of three measures of SWE highly predicts the presence of APF. A larger sample size is needed to validate the model and to create a score that effectively predicts APF.

Radiomics for predicting extraprostatic extension of prostate cancer with MRI: a systematic review and meta-analysis

1. MRI radiomics warrants consideration as a possible solution to address the constraints of MRI in local staging of PCa. 2. The 13 included studies showed an overall AUC of 0.80 for EPE prediction of PCa, with high heterogeneity (84.7%, p < .001), methodological issues and poor clinically orientation. 3. Methodologically robust radiomics research is needed to bring added value to clinical nomograms at patient level.

The added value of capsular enhancement sign (CES) in the extra-prostatic extension (EPE) grading system in predicting prostate cancer with extracapsular extension

MRI is fundamental in the diagnosis and staging of the prostate cancer. EPE score is a valid strategy to detect extra-capsular extension of the tumor. Our classification, combining EPE score together with “capsular enhancement sign” enhances the clinical accuracy in reporting the locoregional staging.

Adjusted Skeletal Muscle Index (aSMI) correlates with outcome in metastatic Renal Cancer Cell (mRCC) patients (pts) treated with first line (1L) immunotherapy (IT)

This study aims to evaluate body composition (BC) and inflammatory parameters (IFN) variations with different 1L treatments in Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma (mRCC). Adjusted Skeletal Muscle Index (aSMI) correlates with outcome in metastatic Renal Cancer Cell (mRCC) patients (pts) treated with first line (1L) immunotherapy (IT).
